Dallas Cup 2025 is fast approaching for the 2011 DFW Tejanos Boys. Qualifying for the Dallas Cup is another in a long line of accomplishments for the team. Over the last two years the team has won multiple tournaments, the Red River Division of National Premier League and played in the NPL National Championships. Coming into the tournament the boys are ranked #1 in North Texas and #2 in the entire state.
Left back Chava commented on the team’s path to Dallas Cup. He said “It’s an honor to be in a big tournament like Dallas Cup. It took a lot of important wins to qualify and a lot of hard work.”
Three tough opponents await at Dallas Cup as the Tejanos open Sunday against Orlando City MLS Next at 11:30am. On Monday afternoon the boys face off against Pickering FC from Ontario, Canada at 2pm. After an off day on Tuesday, the final group match is against FC Dallas Red out of Division 1 Classic League. Only the group winner will advance so the team must go big every match!
Co-captain Sebastian Martinez talked about the Grouping. “Every group in Dallas Cup is tough. We know we are going to have to play our very best to be successful.”
After the game on Sunday the team heads over to the Cotton Bowl for the parade and Opening Ceremonies. Post ceremony they’ll get to take in the Dallas Cup Super Group game between Real Madrid and CF Monterrey. Having coached teams in multiple Dallas Cup tournaments Coach Shane Barrow knows how special these experiences are. “It’s such a fantastic week for the boys! Getting to play against and seeing teams from all over the world is truly a life experience they’ll remember their entire life.”
Center Mid Danny Quinteros said “we have worked hard to earn our place in Dallas Cup. Now it’s time to play hard some good results.”
Come out and support the team on Sunday as they open against Orlando City 11:30am on field 6 at the Ross Stewart Soccer Complex in Farmers Branch.
